Evidence-Led Recognition Process
A structured 100-point review framework designed to support clarity, consistency and professional judgement across National Awards India nominations.
Review Principles
The purpose of the methodology is to evaluate the relevance and strength of a nomination using evidence rather than titles alone.
Category Relevance
The nominee's role, work and achievements should align with the selected award category.
Evidence Over Claims
Specific examples, outcomes, records and supporting information strengthen the credibility of the nomination.
Context Matters
Impact is considered in relation to the nominee's role, scale, resources, field and period of contribution.
Professional Judgement
Scores support consistency, while final decisions may consider category context, evidence quality and verification.
Evaluation Rubric
This common rubric may be adapted slightly for specialised categories while retaining the same evidence-led approach.
| Criterion | Weight | What Reviewers Consider | Examples of Supporting Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Eligibility & Category Fit | 15 | Relevance of the nominee's role, work and achievements to the selected category; fulfilment of basic eligibility requirements. | Role profile, institutional affiliation, category rationale, professional background. |
| Evidence of Impact | 25 | Demonstrable outcomes, improvements, reach, learner or stakeholder benefit, growth, measurable change or documented contribution. | Outcome data, testimonials, project results, institutional records, before-and-after evidence. |
| Quality of Practice / Innovation | 15 | Quality, originality, relevance, problem-solving, improvement in practice or thoughtful use of new approaches where applicable. | Programme design, innovative practices, implementation examples, documented improvements. |
| Leadership & Contribution | 15 | Influence, mentoring, institution-building, collaboration, professional contribution or leadership beyond routine responsibilities. | Leadership roles, team development, mentoring records, initiatives, professional contributions. |
| Consistency, Scale & Sustainability | 15 | Duration, continuity, scalability, repeatability or sustained value of the nominee's work rather than a one-time activity alone. | Multi-year records, growth data, scale of beneficiaries, sustained programme evidence. |
| Professional / Community Contribution | 10 | Contribution to the wider profession, community, sector, learners or public good beyond the nominee's immediate role. | Community initiatives, publications, training, outreach, industry or professional service. |
| Supporting Evidence & Integrity | 5 | Clarity, completeness, accuracy and credibility of the information submitted; consistency between claims and evidence. | Certificates, links, references, supporting documents, verified records. |
| Total | 100 | Final recognition decisions are based on the overall strength of the nomination, category context, available evidence and review judgement. | |

Professional Records
Appointments, publications, certifications, awards, training records or other appropriate documentation.
Impact Narrative
A concise explanation connecting the nominee's actions with the resulting benefit or change.
Accurate Information
Claims should be truthful, current and consistent with the evidence supplied.
Category-Specific Criteria May Apply
The common rubric creates a consistent baseline across National Awards India. However, specialised awards may place greater emphasis on factors particularly relevant to that field. For example, an education award may consider learner impact and pedagogy, while a business award may consider enterprise performance, innovation or market contribution.
The rubric does not create an automatic entitlement to an award. Recognition decisions remain subject to eligibility, evidence quality, category context, verification where required and the final review process.
